Economic Instruments for the Circular Economy in Costa Rica

This study presents the description and analysis of a series of economic instruments that may be viable or useful for the implementation and strengthening of the circular economy in Costa Rica, in line with the National Circular Economy Strategy (ENEC) 2023–2050.

The study is developed within the framework of the Green Economy Transformation (GET 4.0) Project of the German Development Cooperation GIZ, financed by the International Climate Initiative (IKI), which seeks to advance decarbonization in line with nationally determined contributions and long-term strategies.
